Formerly Miss Ross Poem by Bree Z Love

Formerly Miss Ross

I would like to personally touch the hem of your dress.
I would travel time just to feel your heart and the pulse of the distress.
Miss Ross.
Like Moses.
And Jacob.
She is my descendant and heroine.
Like Jacob, renamed.
We call her by her new name.
Harriet Tubman.
I would like to sit and talk with her and ask about the ancient Humans.
she lead to new lands.
I would ask about "...her own need for support; when things got tough and did she want to abort? "
The journey was long, dangerous and treacherous for a lady.
How did you keep your faith from day to day?
Those safe houses, I seek to find because the underground is deep and dark.
Especially, all alone and the anxiety tumbles the heart.
Still, our children are riddled for their skin.
When will it end?
Formerly, the United States is USA and still.
I would like to personally touch the hem of your dress to feel.
I would like to travel back from your time to now; before more are killed.
We tried gracefully; Miss Ross to keep.
But, keeping the peace is not radical enough for my peeps.
I took your courage and fight along with my words; permitted by the living waters.
Still, travelling in the muddy, dangerous and treacherous waters.
To safety for those whom want to be be saved.
This battle like before is a mass of divisions.
Dispatched by the evil's mission; yet the Divine's admonition...
makes a blind nation cry!
We shall overcome!
Seeking the masses for a greater Kingdom, shall be done!
