Forsaken Poem by Chloe Mc Mullan

Forsaken

I watch the sphere of hope
Fade towards the edge of our flattened world.
No questions asked of life and death;
A ritual, a procession, an end.

I dare to let my thoughts grasp,
Grasp for dear life of your memories
But gone are the days which filled my soul
With a bountiful spring of happiness,

Replaced now with emptiness and numb
Which spreads through my nerves and drugs me
Left beaten, forced to wait another day
And see all hope vanish…again.

From love springs hope. If all else is gone hope will always survive. A good write.
