Fox Poem by Cainneach Rua

Fox

Rating: 4.0

Her fur strewn out
Like a fine carpet
Lining tarmac
Wind-tossed her ruddy tufts
Blanketing a surface
Hard like life and sorrow-durable
Suddenly gone
Fetching scrummy somethings
For hungry mouths
And eager paws
Unrelenting squeeks
Filling the night air
Nobodys come home
