In The Tabernacle Poem by Cainneach Rua

In The Tabernacle

I've sat here all day
And nobody has knocked on the door
Do they think of me at all?
Or even know that I am here?

I am so lonely now

If even one would come
I would be so glad
I would give them
Everything
The world

But nobody wants to visit me.

I hear the others outside
Talking
But they don't care.
Their noise fills the silence
Their coldness
It displeases me.
