Fractured Poem by Baaz Monk

Fractured

It’s just another mood of mine:
I’ve got my thoughts,
And issues of my own.
Again I swim the seas of worries
That spread away from my ol’ soul.

I have to dive into my fears
And spin the whirlpools of my deep
‘Cause paths I’ve walked are pooled with tears,
Their glimmer-
Dreams into my Sleep.

…………………………

I.m loosing it!
Loosing it All!
My kingdom’s crumbling into islands.
The pools- now lakes – engulf my tall
Peaks o existence – I am drowning!

And underwater – submarine
Creatures of old, slumber existence
Are haunting just what’s left of me
Chasing my inner substance.

Their mouths of carnage crawl with fangs
Unreal glowing in the darkness!
I ‘ve got to swim me out of this,
Go back to Air-
Out of madness.

But there’s no light-
Just jaws of monsters.
The ghosts of love –
And specters-
Dead ol’ sadness.

……………………….

Just as I perish, torn to bits
In dark, deep, bloody waters
I wake behind out of my sleep
Back on my stony shore-
As always.

I’ll so sit here – for a while.
The dawn awaits a sunrise!
And cause the night’s so cold alone,
I’ll seal my eyes with lust of sunshine…
