Fragile Heart Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Fragile Heart

Fragile Heart

How fragile my heart has become

More delicate than a dried rose

Transparent as rice paper

Colder then the purple hues

that spill over the dieing dusk

And in the silence of the the night

My fragile heart shatters

Written as simple observations and to beautiful effect. It would be far easier to ramble on unnecessarily. This is the kind of poem that to some might seem common, but it is in fact rare.
