Francoise Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Francoise

I will come to you like a bridegroom from a canopy but,
Look how the stars have spelt out your name on this love;
For you are sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

I came out of my mother's womb and,
I drank my mother's milk from her breasts;
But today i am a grown up with matured teeth!
But outside me are many wars than love.

Come to me on Francoise,
For the dark clouds are under my feet;
And i am floating in the air to touch your heart with my love.
