Free Verse: Temple Dweller Poem by Caryl Ramsdale

Free Verse: Temple Dweller

Rating: 5.0

Disarming dove
With mournful call and whistling wings;
Take flight
Fortifier, Healing Helper, Counselor,
Emblem of true peace, Third Person of the Trinity.
Holy men gather in a holy city waiting to receive you;
To receive gifts of God’s own Spirit.
Like those men, I too hear the roar of a mighty wind—
I see a vivid mental image of tongues of fire overhead,
On this day of Pentecost,
As I am anointed likewise!
Praise the Lord! Amen and Amen!
