Your painful memories,
Place in a box;
Turn the key
And keep it locked.

In the ground,
Bury it deep,
And, into the future,
Take a huge leap.

Time will pass
In months and years,
And, as it does,
It will soothe your tears.

You need to let go;
You need to free your mind.
But there is no magic -
It will take some time.

Of pain in life,
There is no lack;
But look to the future -
Don't you look back.
