'Freedom' Poem by Brandy Navarro

'Freedom'

Pink, purple, yellow, green.

If race is about color, 'what color is greed? '

Scary, when the word starts to 'have a personality.'

'Look around'... 'What' do you see?

Love for money, like a disease.

A make believe currency.

If never invented, what would there be?

Would there be freedom?

If 'freedom isn't free, ' what does it cost?

Please, someone tell me!

Cause, 'I'm looking to find it.'

Can I buy it?

What do I have to save?

'Can you wear it' like a diamond ring?

What do you 'think? '

If I try it on, 'would you tell me, ' if it was the wrong size; before I buy it?

'Honestly, ' I don't want to waste time.

I'm trying to 'define, and find this word.'

No matter how much I have to 'sacrifice, '
to 'make it reality' in my mind.
