I never seek control, especially control by media about topical issues like climate change. I am free to think for myself and I do that to the maximum, although my only outlet is writing an occasional letter to newspapers. This brilliant poem made me rethink the issues.
Nice. This fits with a newish concept I am tossing around: The opposite of freedom is not control, it is wild. Its a mesh of things I've drawn from Joseph Campbell. In short, freedom is the coastal shores of a worthless life & hopeless existence. In practical terms, those who cling to 'it' the most, are the most deprived, rife with evil, & malicious minds ever made by human experience.
This poem provides rudimentary ideas about freedom and control... nicely expressed!
