Friday Night Poem by Sheena Hocking

Friday Night

Rating: 5.0

Derek sat against the bar
Rounded back towards the fun,
Head bent down, eyes on his beer.
Jill came up and spoke to him.
Eyes shone as he answered her.
Heart and soul rose from despair,
Sadness fled from all his thoughts.
But she did it for a dare.
