Friend Lost (Letting Go) Poem by Leah Michele

Friend Lost (Letting Go)

Letting go is hard to do.
The hardship of letting go of someone so near and dear,
Is something that must be done by everyone; he, she, me and you.

True friendship is hard to come by, that is true.
You're always hoping the end isn't near,
Because letting go is hard to do.

I lost some friends, quite a few.
It's something that everyday I fear.
Its something that everyone must deal with; he, she, me and you.

Losing them makes me so blue?
This sadness, to my eyes it brings tears.
Letting go is hard to do.

Losing friends is something that I rue.
These feelings I feel, are so sheer,
It's something that everyone has felt; he, she, me and you.

But losing you was the hardest and though this feeling is not new,
Coping with this pain will take not a day, a week or a month but years.
Letting go is hard to do
Its something that we all must do; he, she, me and you.
