Time bears a tale
to be told by the wise
and to be heard by the meek
do you qualify?

time answers questions
our teachers can't attempt
but our hearts are yearning
will you wait?

time mends the hearts
shattered by hurts
and wounded by words
are you hurt?

Time breaks the chain
that holds you down
and limits your stride
do you seek pace?

Time, time, time
the friend of many
and foe of much more
who are you?

Time,
the sole liberator of mankind
the tale bearer of good news
the worthy companion
and hope of countless generations
