Friendly City Poem by michael Smajda

Friendly City

If you have never been to Johnstown,
You don't what you are missing.
There is this I would like to tell you,
If you care to take the time to listen.

Though, it is known for its famous flooding,
Even, more so, steel town, once renown,
Its true worth is its proud people
Who always rise up when they are down.

Surrounded by scenic hillsides,
Valleyed with cultures, all from afar,
Where else is there a place like Johnstown
Who welcomes you no matter who you are?
