From One Of Your Captives
I don't say
Take it all away
Give it to me
Every bit I deserve
You took away my hopes
I never uttered a word
All that I ask
Is to reduce the intensity
Of this unbearable pain
Divide it over
the remainder of my days
Disseminating your justice
would give me a chance
to stretch it over
Another decade's fire
Now that she needs me
more than ever
This is a heartfelt petition
From one of your captives
