From darkest hour to the brightest day
There has been a bound unbroken by time
And a love I fear I can not convey
Nor mean its meaning in my simply rhyme,
In its faithful trust I hold all my faith
Unshaken by the worlds green serpent eye
For it be thou that holds all virtues great
Thy true strength and beauty shall never die,
Thou art my counselor ever caring
Within thy soul all of my hope presides
No angel of heaven holds comparing
The light thy heart holds can not be denied,
For all of this and more thou art my friend
This bound of hearts shall never find an end.
