From The Iron Clouds They Call Poem by Ricky Lewis

From The Iron Clouds They Call

In a day in a flash of fire
The world perceives the darkest desire
A dream world from the outside
Within its reach the thought will conspire
Sick and tired of the hours it speaks
Faceless wraith in the mirror
Defining your lines failing
The new crush stands at the heart of all
Because we’re all destined to fall

From the iron clouds they call
From the black night they draw
From the iron clouds they call
From a cosmic tomb they claw

It seems to be so thought provoked
A line was crossed, time stops
Once we become conscious
Its infernal soul invoked
Clawing at a sky he cannot reach
Crashing through a barrier he cannot breach
He thinks in his dominion
I must escape, I must be free

He calls
His name
infinite
He calls for the world he was once in
He calls for a soul
A soul to keep him alive

From the iron clouds they call
From the black night they draw
From the iron clouds they call
From a cosmic tomb they claw
