Out from the shadows of your wings
I felt the sun unfurl
But a different feeling kindled, when
I looked upon the world
The western winds, so sweetly sang
And breezed across the fields
The bluest skies, up overhanged
What freedom, they revealed
I turned and gazed into your eyes
To find what they'd construe
I saw a spree of teardrops cry
Right then.. at once.. I knew
The time had come, for me to fly
And use my own great wings
No longer could I huddle nigh
Or to your bosom cling
Hesitatingly, I broke
And took off towards the sun
Unshielded, from your harbored cloak
Memories began to run
In youthful days, I sensed no need
To importune with worry
Because your love so safely freed
My heart to roam and flurry
The lecturings, ring truely now
With lessons, deep intoned
All of their credence, I so vow
And take them as my own
Once more I turned to see your face
But there, I found a smile
Assuring, in it's warm embrace
Holding from mile to mile
