From Time To Time/Involuntary Remembrances Poem by Shalom Freedman

From Time To Time/Involuntary Remembrances

Rating: 4.0

From time to time
Involuntary remembrances
Pangs of longing
For what will never be again
Times and friends loved ones and just those who were there then
Grief for what was here and is no longer
Grief over so much not even much thought about
Sudden pain and sadness
I must try to diminish all this
I don't know now
If I will be able to
But living in so much sadness is not good for me now.

A stage comes in life when nostalgic images reappear again and again. This gives pain as well as solace. Innermost feelings expressed quite emotionally. Thanks for sharing a wonderful piece of poetry. Involuntary remembrances.... Pangs of longing For what will never be again living in so much sadness is not good for me now.
