Fuel For The Brain Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Fuel For The Brain

There are many stimuli that ignite
The cells of the brain… giving light
A beam aimed at receptors that detect…
Only common sense can accept or reject

There is a hearth within each individual
The flames that flicker are not contractual
Fuel that feeds must be considered with reason
Depending on the outlook… you commit or shun

What is best in the long run must be kept in mind
Staring into the fire too long can render you blind
A firm finger points… but only you can live your life
It isn’t always easy…choices may be filled with strife

Understanding and acting upon various persuasions
Can at best… come up with a balancing equation
It is an inner warmth of satisfaction that you maintain
When you successfully blossom and don’t go insane.
