Full Moon - Cypress Silhouette Poem by moon batchelder

Full Moon - Cypress Silhouette

full moon
cypress silhouette
no mists to diminish that countenance yet
nor a star dares reply.

pale amber halo
surrounding her silvery glow
as she goes
on her rounds through the sky.

gone soon
lost in ecstacy,
as demons and dreams
coalesce next to me
just as slumber unfolds.

gone, the illuson
the gentle intrusion
of light through the night
such a sight to behold.
