Full Throttle Poem by Sonia Russell

Full Throttle

Rating: 5.0

Heading Full Throttle to receive double for my trouble
Greatness will soon be born
Cause when the dark cloud set's sail
Outer darkness will give it's last hail
Anxiety along with Misery will be gone

Heading Full Throttle to receive double for my trouble
Hope and Patience will skillfully be work'en
Stagnation will cry cause Poverty will die
Their stubborn yokes will be broken

Heading Full Throttle to receive double for my trouble
Doubt and fear will stand still in time
Cause underneath the ocean bed my faith was fed
Now soon to follow wonders and signs

Great Potential is aglow, surly in her gift she'll now flow
Fully refined and now awaken
Destiny emerges in her golden crown
She'll pause then make a glorious sound
That will cause the whole earth to be shaken

An intriguing piece, Sonia. It certainly flows with energy and a dynamic cadence. It hints at grand happenings without specific details, leaving the reader with a sense of urgency, and yet also a sense of awe. Nicely done, good poet.
