Further I Must Go Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

Further I Must Go

Rating: 5.0

My fervent wish to die alone,
beyond the maddening crowd

My last thoughts then to be my own,
not spoken out aloud

My firm desire to pass contained,
away from friend and foe

My tracks to fade upon this earth
—as further I must go

My tracks to fade upon this earth —as further I must go... yes, we must go as we have come. Where day is, day after night is, so also life after death is. Wonderful expression of thoughts. Impressive one. Thanks.
