Future Halloween Remembered Poem by Genevieve Surrender

Future Halloween Remembered

Rating: 5.0

Whenever
I think
of what will happen
when i'm older

I think of you
and a gaggle
of our kids
going trick or treating

and i'm on the porch
in a witch hat
passing out candy
because I can't walk too far
8 months along.

And now
you're with
another woman's children
and I'm on the porch
alone
passing out regret.
