Garden Life Poem by Margaret Beil

Garden Life

Rating: 4.0

Sitting very quietly
Listening in to a conversation!
Between a Robin and a Blackbird
Daffodils nod their bright yellow hats
Happy to be there
Snowdrops shiver excitedly together, gaining strength
In their little groups
The insipid watery Sun plays with their hearts
And turns his back but for just a fleeting moment
'Oh my darlings you know I couldn't leave you for so long, but first I must get strong' he says

Digging is a walkover now I have a rotovator :)
Getting dirty, well not really, it's Earth-y really
Earthy hands Earthy boots Earthy knees
Soil is good... So the worms say
There I go disturbing another new mole house
Excited to grow new things
Have new life
Eat fresher food
That tastes AMAZING
