George Bush's Friends Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

George Bush's Friends

George Bush’s friends

It was in early days of my time in Texas when
I shared room with a man, he drank, and drank
And drank.

“You are of Saudi” I told him with reference to Mecca
(Base place of Islam)
“And I pray.”

Reply was chorus, an advice, too honest like a song
Old Greece and plays:
“I drink, and drink, and drink camel-like for the days…”

I listened, he explained: “when I can’t but they do.”
(They meant the Royals.)
“They bring containers, to palace send them sealed.”

And he sighed, pointed at prince in Lackland, student
The man wore a gold watch, drove car
“But not I, for me is a no, no; it is banned for civil citizen.”

Wikileaks is a song in my head; the news, about Riyadh
“The kingdom is corrupt.”
Roulet was interviewed: 'I find this totally normal, '
