George W Bush Poem by Francis Duggan

George W Bush

George W Bush will always be remembered but not for any good that he has done
With the help of others he's declared war on distant Nations one well might say he is his father's son
He mentions God by name in many of his speeches and on some Nation leaders only can speak ill
Whilst he ignores old Moses fifth commandment which clearly states for all 'thou shalt not kill'
He would like to shape the World to his way of thinking but not everything we want from life does go to plan
Because of him many have died and suffered in distant Iraq and Afghanistan
He became the leader of the World's most powerful Nation something he often dreamt of as a boy
And soon he will retire to his big ranch in Texas and a life of opulence he will enjoy
Whilst thousands suffer for his war on terror and mothers for their dead children do grieve
And he has sown his universal karma and what we sow is what we do receive
So many innocents have died in his war on terror for the crimes of others with their lives they did pay
Without George W Bush the World would be far better and that does seem a sad thing for to say
He may have thought by starting his war on terror that peace around the World he would create
He has only boiled the bubbling pot of anger and sown the seeds that have grown to seeds of hate.
