Ghostly Poem by isaac hammond

Ghostly

The room was empty and pacific
but breaths with quick lapses broke the deaf silence
but there wasn't any soul to blame
for the room was empty and no soul was found therein

The casement squeaked and slammed
but there wasn't any wind blowing
to make certain i knocked and
said, 'anybody home'?
but my voice went and returned to me
for the room was empty and no soul was found therein

Receding sound of footsteps
but who? for i see nothing but emptiness
'cept for cobwebs which seem to be the only decorations
no chairs, tables or tapestry
for the room was empty and no soul was found therein

I could hear silent whispers and murmurings
but they seem to come from nowhere
maybe some apparition or.... i don't know
for the room was empty and no soul was found therein
