Girl Friend Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Girl Friend

I want to kiss the girl
I want to watch her smile
In the hope I get to see her
I would crawl 647 miles

Wake up every morning
She is the first thought that I have
The skies are never cloudy
My days are never bad

I wait to hear from her
On her way to work each morn
She is usually getting ready
and running out the door

It never seems to matter
if she has her makeup on
If her hair is up in pigtails
or hanging down long

She is the most gorgeous lady
that I have ever seen
Been around this country
and she is the prettiest to me

She has quite the spirit
that I would never want to tame
She cares about others
and loves them all the same

Her heart is the biggest
that I have ever known
The way she loves on me
I never feel alone

She is my best friend
The one that lights the sky
She asked me if I wanna
Lord knows I have to try

I want to kiss the girl
I want to watch her smile
In the hope that I could see her
I would crawl 647 miles
