Girl's Talk Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Girl's Talk

He fumbles
with the catch of her

bra

'Here! ' she yawns
'Let me do it for you! '

changing the chewing gum
from one side of her gum

to the other
he's getting on her tits
not getting on her tits.

She feels like
she's his mother.

She changed
the lights from red to go

but Jesus
it's like he's stuck in some traffic

jam
or something

now he's going like crazy
like a choo choo train

'HOOO...HOOO...I'M COMING! '

he explains as if she needs
an explaination!

'Pity he forgot to take me
with him!

'Anyway I was half asleep
only woke up when he was coming! '

'I should have said I was
washing my hair...washing...anything! '

'I should have gone for the more interesting
but ugly one! '

'I should have stayed in
with chocolates and dirty movie.'
