Rating: 2.7

To sleep
perchance to...snore!

I can only dream
of peaceful sleep.

Like MacBeth
you've murdered sleep.

My sleep!
Ay, there's the rub!

I lie awake
misquoting Shakespeare

to myself.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I went through a phase when my bed was my sworn enemy and trying to sleep in it was a torture to me, as sleep was unobtainable like the droaning noise you get from the telephone when a number has been discontinued....... These days I take a tablet before bedtime, something mild and just the thought of it releases my tensions, sending me into that world of dreams and slumber. Ruthie; o)

Very cute poem. I enjoyed and translated it into Persian.

Of course, I NEVER snore..because it is so unladylike-just as I never sweat..I glow! ! AND sound like a snuffling pig when I sleep...but I never quote OR misquote Shakespeare!
