Girlfriend - Poem by Alexander Chan

I am thankful for my girlfriend, Stacy.
We first met at the trip to Washington D.C. during spring break.
Stacy and I looked at each other and we both hugged.
She is the most beautiful girlfriend I ever had.

I am thankful for my girlfriend, Stacy.
Her eyes dazzle like the stars.
Her smile makes me glad.
Her skin is all 100% silky smooth.
When I wake up every morning I have a feeling that she’ll be there for me.
She reminds me of a new song I haven’t listened to.
She fills me with sweetness.
She makes my heart all warm and happy.

I am thankful for my girlfriend, Stacy.
My girlfriend was a Dana Mariner.
I was a First Avenue Spartan and we are both Apaches now.
But we hardly see each other.
I know it is hard to be separated.
Whenever I see Stacy cry, I feel like I want to get her a fragrant rose
and a Valentine’s Day card.
In the card I would write:
“XO Stacy. From your secret admirer.”

I am thankful for my girlfriend, Stacy.
I dream about asking her out to the prom.
I would tell my girlfriend that she looks beautiful.
My girlfriend will smile and thank me for that compliment.
We’ll dance until the sun rises or midnight.

I am thankful for my girlfriend, Stacy.
Even now that I am writing this poem I hear her voice.
And it makes my day complete.
I wouldn’t know what to do without Stacy.
