Giving Breath Poem by can colyn

air chocks out of the failing lungs
breath slowly giving away
heartbeat meek as smooth flowing water
like a candle slowly dies out
some light up to the end
others die out before life unfolds
its a destiny you can't escape
a darkness rippling on the other end
beyond the vision of the living
just like tomorrow or microseconds away
its a mystery never unraveled
