Glass Box - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I live here in my tiny box
made from glass and glue

No place to hide
and fall apart

My eyes switch between
empty shells
and
gaced wildness

I am on display

The model of self control
and containment

On the outside I appear
very put together
On the inside there's
Raging chaos

But I take a breath
and look through the glass
at my world

There's never any place to hide
and fall apart
