Glass Hearts And Open Paths Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Glass Hearts And Open Paths

Whispers kiss the mind
Painting fabricated futures
So many paths to follow
Uncertainty rising high
Yet fear seems so far away

A taste, a smile, a soft touch
It lingers like phantom memories
If I concentrate I see it all around me
I never was one to ignore how I feel

The lingering aroma clinging to my being
I can reach out and touch it
Wrap you around me, so carefully
And I wonder if you feel it

The time ticks away
Hours into days and I beg for it to stop
Let the moments last a little longer
I don’t want them to fade

Day breaks the moments
And I see the fear clutch your eyes
Don’t worry, ill catch you
Not every difficult step must be taken alone

In the glass of the heart
A reflection shines on
If you touch it, it melts into you
All you need to do is embrace

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A new love sparks in my heart but will he embrace it too?
