Glass Windows Poem by Jessie Lima

Glass Windows

What protects also blocks...
Those are basic things I learned,
Basic small shocks.
From behind the glass windows I see the rain
and I feel like i'm obstructed from life once again.
There's no more wanting,
Feeling,
But there is always screaming.
Can you hear me through the glass windows?
No? Can you see me though?
Can you feel my heart beating...really, really low?
I am dying slowly,
The light i see is good, i think; Good and holy.
What hurts most is that I 'see' the beauty
But i'm never able to touch it.
What binds me to this glass window?
To this miserable life? I wanna let go!
Whenever I thought this was my final breath
Someone cheated death,
I'm no longer behind the glass, I'm free at last.
Before I close my eyes to sleep, i tell my knight:
Being in your arms my love,
Feels real,
Feels right!
