Glorious Arrival Of Spring Poem by Deanna Samuels

Glorious Arrival Of Spring

Is winter really behind us?
Has it now left us alone?
It would seem that way today
Today, the sun is shining
Shining from horizon to horizon
A gloriously warm mid-March day
Is it a precursor for tomorrow?
When Spring is officially declared
The forecast indicates an even warmer day
What an opening to Spring
A welcome awakening for sleeping buds
Spring bulbs suddenly erupting
Peeping over recent frozen front lawns
What temptation to throw off caution
To abandon the winter restrains
Or will it be a short respite?
For cold and frost to make their spite?
Whatever the weather is yet to be
It will take its natural course
Spring is now here!
