Please go away, you're hurting me,
I thought you were my friend -
you said you cared, but now I see
it's time for this to end.

I thought the words you spoke were true,
but they were just a ruse -
A ploy to blind me to the truth,
bewilder and confuse.

Please go away, I do not need
the pain that you inflict -
my heart is broken now, my dear,
to know that I was tricked.

Oh go away, please go away,
I cannot comprehend
how you could ever hurt me so -
I thought you were my friend.
