God Cares For Me But… Poem by Dr John Celes

God Cares For Me But…

Rating: 5.0

God cares for me but
Let me do my part;
He watches all with
Loving eyes so keen.

He feeds the birds that
Neither sow nor scythe;
He clothes the flowers
Growing in the wild.

How much more love He
Has for man He made,
To look like Him with
Soul and share His feast!

Why should we doubt the
Promises He makes?
What little faith we
Human beings have?

He sent His one son
Jesus Christ to die,
Redeeming sinners
All who will repent.

Glory to God who
Is our one Father;
How can the Maker
Not love His creatures?

How can a potter
Like just ones finest?
How can the painter
Love a few He brushed?

How can the sculptor
Destroy ones deformed?
Our Heavenly Father
Loves all souls He made!

God cares for me but
I must trust the Lord;
He is my Light, Hope
Way, Guide and Refuge!

So, let the Lord then
Carry our burden;
Our earthly stay is
Meant for just Heaven!
