God Given Gift Poem by Joyce Hemsley

God Given Gift

It's all in the wonderful game
We fall in love with a name,
Especially those great names
Of musical and poetical fame.

Franz Liszt ~ pianist, genius,
So very good, even in childhood.
Gypsy and symphonic music he wrote
Original pieces in classical mood.

Admred by Beethoven and many more,
Liszt was 'Composer of the time'
Hungarian by birth, proving his worth,
With rhapsodies delighting the mind.

After seventy-five years of life, he died.
But with his musicology we will ever abide.

August 2008.
