God Has Given Us A Time Span

God has given us a time span
Of a twenty four hour day
And has told us to redeem the time
For it too shall soon pass away
What weight of love He carries
With a strong desire to bestow
Upon each repentant believing heart
Only Heaven knows!

Sin enares and blinds us
To the reality of the love of God
And its not until we read His Word
That this is really understood
For faith comes by hearing
And hearing by the Word of God
A great time it is to search the Scriptures
And be enlightened as to the Father's love

If you have seen me you have seen the Father
A statement that the Lord Jesus made
Giving us an inkling of His true Authority
Our Victor over the grave
Who can forgive sins but God they cried out
Well guess who they were crying out too
The Creator and Saviour in the Lord Jesus Christ
The Eternal right there in their view

O the wonder of it all
The glory to us that was revealed
For God to come down in humanness
To whom one day every soul shall yield
And every tongue shall be confessing His name
As the most precious Word ever heard
And every knee bowing in worshipful adoration
Acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Lord!
