God, I Want To Know Poem by Shiva Pillai

Why are we fighting, God, I want to know?
Inside our tender heart, the hatred we grow
Look at the blood, that’s flowing like water,
Everyone is killed, son and the daughter.
You lost your mama and I lost my baby,
Hurting others; Now! Is that your hobby?

Why are we crying, God I want to know?
So much of pain inside, we just couldn’t throw
Look at the tears that’s flowing like water,
So much of sorrow, does anyone bother,
You lost your happiness, I got the pain,
All that we dreamed of has gone in vain.

Why are we failing, God I want to know?
Although I love you, why couldn’t I show
Look at all those efforts, going to waste
People killing others, and they like the taste
You lost the patience, which was in your heart,
It’s not too late though, please make a good start.

There are so many questions which we still want to ask Him. Think about it… Ask those questions to yourself. You will definitely find an answer. Let’s bring back peace, which seems like a distant memory.
