God Moves Poem by Gary James Smith

God Moves

God Moves

God moves in mysterious ways
To give His children rest
Oftimes it is no accident
By accident we're blessed
Big question marks on this side
Especially if one's died
But all revealed eventually
When we reach the other side

Must needed rest required
The Great Physician knows
From the very numbered hairs on our head
Even down to our very toes
He's got it all together
Right down to the umpteenth degree
After all He's the Creator
He's made us for eternity!

So cheer up fellow believer
God knows just where you're at
Though trials and tastings befall us
It does not diminish the fact
That God is in His Heaven
He's watching over us all
Not only us as human beings
But even the tiniest sparrow's fall

Take joy and give Him praises
My God how great Thou art
No mystery at all to You
Our lives... Your work of art
So rest in comfort brother
Receive His special grace
I'd rather be in the will of God
Than any other place

So thank You Lord for resting
You have said it's good
We often fail to remember this
As You have said we should
In hospitable bed, home, or work
I'll praise Thee all my days
And leave life's outcome up to You
Who moves in mysterious ways!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
