God’s love is immense, eternal
God’s love is unfathomable
God’s love is incomparable
God’s love is truly real.
God permits us to have our way,
Awaiting lovingly that day,
When we repent, return and say,
‘I’m sorry Lord, and keep His way!
Our Father is so compassionate
Our Father is so considerate
Our Father is so desperate
To have back son, daughter at any rate.
Our Father yearns to have us back
He knows our needs, weaknesses, lack
He is not angered by our faults
To show His wrath, He always halts
His heart burns with great love admirable
His love for men is unimaginable
His love for man isn’t understandable
His forgiveness is ample and stable
By our sins, Father’s home, we leave by choice
Through repentance, we come back to rejoice
Our trespasses become a maze and haze
God’s forgiveness sets right our heavenly gaze
At times, we’re sons, daughters prodigal
And leave our Father’s home to have our way
Life’s strife teaches lessons- a miracle
That brings us back to Him better, some day
Our sinfulness removes us from our Fathers love
Our desires, ambitions cuts us from heaven above
But not for long, we learn that life’s so deceitful
Our conscience tells, ‘go back to Father beautiful! ’
The wealth we got by force cannot last long
And gets sold, frittered away for a song
Our friends depart to leave us again lone
The lack of food, filth make us skin and bone
Our Father dreams His son will come, return
He stands each day ready to meet his son
Who did not come for days and years on end
The Father’s certain son will make amend
Sometimes we fail to take God’s road with zest
We try to walk our lane we think is best
We turn to be akin birds leaving nest
But do come back to God to forev’r rest.
