God’s Spring Surprises Poem by Marilyn Lott

I think it’s so very apparent
When warm spring weather arrives
That we are sent a strong message
God knew that we would survive

He blesses us with spring blooms
And oh, how we’re ready to see
The colors the fragrances of flowers
Designed by God for you and me

He knows how much we appreciate
The work that he’s gone through
I’m sure he labored long and hard
Deciding the perfect colors so true

The Iris, with its beard so unique
That fit in with every scene
Colors so brilliant and charming
So lovely they seem like a dream

Lilies pop out for us all to enjoy
The Pinks with their amazing designs
And fragrant beyond any other
Such wonderful and cheerful times

I do think that God has created
Flowers to spruce up our days
And since we’re so very thankful
We might tell Him when we pray!
