God’s Sunrise Poem by Marilyn Lott

I love the early morning hours
When silence sets the tone
The world is still asleep it seems
And I find myself alone

But even though there is no one
To start the day with me
I feel His warming presence
No, that’s not a mystery

I drove to the lake in darkness
To view His amazing sunrise
I felt His love surround me
And I was not at all surprised

In the silence I might ask Him
What to do or what to say
My heart is over-flowing
As He answers it this day

For you see, we are never
Really and truly alone
He’s there to love and help us
And there if we need to atone

He knows that we’re not perfect
That we all are filled with sin
So take time some early morning
To watch the sunset just with Him!
