God Sustains

God sustains in time of trial
And gives us grace and love
And ministers to hurting hearts
Because our God is good
And... whatever befalls us
He knows each circumstance
And carry's the weight of our sorrows
The Man of sorrows understands

His love infused with penetrating power
Comforts us by His Spirit given
And mends each brokenhearted one
Encouraging to keep on living
And leave those things with question marks
In the hands of almighty God
And live with grace and love again
One day they'll be understood

Praise God for His sustaining grace
T'is a marvelous transformation
When we're surrounded by His love
Surrendering to each situation
Knowing that whatever His will for us
He'll sustain us by His grace
With love poured out from Calvary
Administering in each trial we face

I have a Friend named Jesus Christ
Who walks with me each day
And gives me joy in living
Who is my constant Stay
Many times I've been a recipient
Of my God's amazing grace
Oftimes pondering of that wonderful day
When I shall see Him face to face!

Hallelujah what a Saviour
