God Tests The Faith Of A Friend Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

My friend smsed
“Hey Terry,
ya still kicking?

I know He is testing me,
but not sure how much
more testing I can take?

Just need a break
but no break coming
my way anytime soon.”

My friend has not learned
money does not provide
lasting security or peace.

My friend has not learned
appeasing a materialistic
wife a materialistic lifestyle

is not a foundation upon
which to build a secure
lasting relationship with God.

My friend may never learn
these two simple lessons.

Therein lies source
of tragedy suffering
pursuit of security riches

is not faith heartfelt pursuit
of either God or God’s Kingdom.
