God Took Love

God took love to its highest degree
In the offering of His Son
For it was through Him that He dealt with sin
That day of Christ's Crucifixion
To pour out wrath on a sinless One
Took a sure act of love
To bring deliverance for every lost sinner
Who repents and calls upon God

Love is a feeling we know it inside
God has designed that it be
To stir our hearts to think upon love
Upon love as its meant to be
To do unto others in a godly manner
As you would have them do unto you
God's Holy Spirit working within us
This is what love calls us to do

We can't know love without some other
Some other to express our love too
It just takes one small act of kindness
To address what love has in view
O how I love love in action
It has a huge part of making my day
Lord help me to love others
By showing them the heavenly way...
